Edge POPs with direct peering to Comcast, Verizon, BT, DT, NTT, SingTel.
Using GTA 6 Server Performance in practice
What actually makes a GTA 6 server feel responsive
Two things: tick rate and ping. 60 Hz tick means the server processes inputs every 16.6 ms. Ping is network round-trip time. A player with 40 ms ping on a 60 Hz server feels their inputs at around 56 ms, tight enough to stay responsive even in racing and PvP.
Getting those numbers requires real hardware and real networking. Our GTA 6 server locations page has the POP map. Pricing shows the hardware at each tier.
Preventing the 9 PM performance cliff
Most server crashes happen at peak player count when scripts that ran fine at 32 players melt at 96. Use the resource profiler in the control panel continuously. Any resource over 2 ms tick time is a candidate for optimization. Cache database queries aggressively. Move non-critical work off the main thread.
If you have already optimized and you are still hitting CPU walls, it is time for GTA 6 dedicated server hosting. Zero shared cores, no noisy neighbors, full CPU pinning control.
Upgrading hardware without downtime
Scale up RAM and CPU live on Professional and above. Going up a tier within the same hardware class is zero downtime, pro-rated. Crossing to dedicated (a different hardware class) takes about a two-minute cutover.
